David Roth

Cape Cod resident David Roth has been writing Songs of Love since the late 1990s. He's a singer, songwriter, recording artist, speaker, workshop leader and community-builder who has taken his music, experience, and expertise a wide and eclectic variety of music (and non-music) venues throughout North America over the last two decades. Known for his unique songs, offbeat observations, moving stories, and powerful singing and subject matter, David’s songs have found their way to Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, several Chicken Soup for the Soul books, Peter, Paul, & Mary concerts, NASA’s Goddard Space Center, crossword puzzles, and 10 CDs on the Wind River and Stockfisch (Germany) labels. In addition to winning two of the country’s premier songwriting competitions (the Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals), he’s celebrating 21 years of full-time music making in 2008 even though his father had always hoped he'd become a doctor or a lawyer. His mom wanted him to become President. He's thinking about it

"David and his music will touch you to the very depths of your soul. He’ll make you laugh and cry, inspire you to rise and fly..."
- Jack Canfield, co-author, Chicken Soup for the Soul
