Hailing from the small town of Ijamsville, MD, Freddie Long has been songwriting and performing since middle school. It was during the last month of his senior year in high school when Freddie and his music were embraced by his community and he earned some regular radio play on a local station. Freddie then left for Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA, where he majored in Music Recording Technology and minored in Physics, performing and writing throughout his tenure

Fresh out of college and looking to continue his music career with a larger live arrangement, The Freddie Long Band was formed in late August of 2005. Described as a 't-shirt and jeans blend of pop, rock, soul, and honesty, the group has toured extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, has received numerous honors, and has shared stages with several national acts, including Jo Dee Messina, Blue Oyster Cult, and Jimmie's Chicken Shack.

Freddie continues to write and perform both solo and with The Freddie Long Band.
