Gregory B. Ellis Jr., nickname “SPIKE” artist name “GodsondaChief,” started playing drums at the age of 3, his father Greg Ellis Sr. got “SPIKE” started and there after Greg Ellis Jr. begin to develop and mature in his gift, playing in his home church (St. George Bethel C.O.G.I.C.) in Flint, Michigan. By the age of 12 he was head drummer at his home church, his church district and he went from following his fellow musicians and peers to becoming a leader at a young age. Greg has played for several churches, groups and artists throughout his hometown and state, his passion and interest in the drums brought out other passions. Those passions are music production, songwriting, and teaching drums.
