Jenny Case is a Minneapolis-based artist who's been playing and writing music since the age of 5. A multi-instrumentalist composer, arranger, session musician, producer and engineer, Jenny has a distinct musical style, blending rock, prog & pop into her songwriting, combining thoughful lyrics with catchy melodies. A graduate of the Bass Guitar program at McNally Smith College of Music, she has performed professionally around the Twin Cities and across the country since 1991 in many rock/alternative/experimental/variety bands, shows and productions. Noteworthy projects range from working with the Prince tribute band Controversy and ABBA tribute band ABBA-Salutely to a stint in a Minneapolis production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, among countless other creative endeavours.
Jenny has been a music teacher for the past 17 years, instructing lessons and classes in guitar, bass, piano, vocals, songwriting & Pro-Tools. She currently teaches privately at her home studio and at the Paul Green School of Rock Music. In 2006, Jenny founded Minnesota's first rock camp for girls, Girls Rock n Roll Retreat; a summer camp aimed at teaching girls that they are so much more than their bodies & looks, and that they can rock!
Working with Songs of Love since 2003, it has been Jenny's great honor to have written and recorded over 200 songs for the organization. She continues to write as many songs as she can possibly fit into her busy schedule!
