Philip Clayman has been a songwriter for Songs of Love since early 2007. After graduating from high-school in his home state of Maine, Philip moved to the Washington DC area. Shortly thereafter, Phil formed the rock band Sev, in which he was the lead singer and songwriter. Sev’s popularity quickly rose both locally and nationally, with Sev winning several awards and contests, signing a deal with Geffen Records and shooting a commercial for Pepsi. Philip spent many years on the road playing concerts and creating music. Deciding to take a break from it all and complete his undergraduate degree, Philip moved to Williamsburg, VA where he is now a junior at The College of William and Mary. Philip is studying Music, Business, and Finance. Along with being a songwriter for Songs of Love, Philip is involved in many charity and community organizations. Philip is the proud parent of two wonderful pugs, Boz and Annabel Lee.
